It was a bit calm in the last weeks, but now S3 Graphics launched its new redesigned website. It really looks good!! Just have a look :)

So, perhaps this redesign is a hint for some brand new products in the near future? The last big redesign was made back in late 2005 together with the launch of Chrome S20 Series...

AOpen Japan released a new card with the rather inexpressive name Chrome CRF540GTX-256XD3. It's nothing other than a Chrome 540GTX with 256 MB RAM and a low-profile PCB (unlike the version S3 Graphics sells through its GStore). The price for that smaller PCB is the missing DisplayPort, the rest is standard, just have a look at the product page.

After a new Linux driver 12.01.01 for Chrome S20 Series (as well as GammaChrome and DeltaChrome), there's also a new Vista driver 7.15.12.0363 for Chrome 400 and Chrome 500 Series, which is already on the server but not on the homepage yet.

The Chrome S20 Linux driver is mainly a bug fix release with support for newer distributions, have a look at the Release Notes. The new Vista driver for Chrome 400 and 500 Series brings more MultiChrome profiles and also bug fixes. The Release Notes are also available.
