| PowerDVD now optimized for Chrome 400/500 Series |

CyberLink announced an update for PowerDVD 8 a few days ago which supports the ChromotionHD 2.0 Engine of Chrome 400/500 Series. Confusingly enough, S3 Graphics made nearly the same announcement already back in December, but they only refer to "PowerDVD 8 for Blu-Ray" (or PowerDVD 8 Ultra?). However, CyberLink's product now fully supports the ChromotionHD 2.0 Engine with hardware acceleration for all popular video formats used today. Existing users can upgrade their PowerDVD version to the latest one. Sadly, the promised patch isn't ready for download yet, but I guess it should be there very soon! Links:
